What To Expect

What are your services like?

Our services are best described as the practice of timeless Christian traditions in a comfortable, relevant atmosphere. There will be reading of scripture, public prayer, singing, a sermon from our pastor or another communicator, and the taking of communion. Our music is modern, but reverent. Our sermons are doctrinally rich, but engaging and understandable. In many ways our church may feel familiar to those of you with a church background, but simultaneously feel very different from previous church experiences or preconceived notions of church.
Our worship services typically last right around an hour, but you’re encouraged to get here early/stay late to enjoy some coffee and make some new friends!

What do you have for kids?

First and foremost, kids are ALWAYS welcome in our service. We’ll never be the church that asks you to leave because a toddler makes noise. We do offer a special worship environment just for our youngest kids (Kindergarten and under), where they can play safely while their parents worship in the room next door. Our elementary students worship alongside their parents, but we always make coloring pencils and sermon-based doodle sheets available for those kids (and adults) who find it easier to follow along with a sermon when their hands are busy.

What should I wear?

Whatever you want! We have way more important things to focus on than what you’re wearing.

What are the sermons like?

We believe we gather as a church to hear from God, not from a pastor. Therefore, our pastor teaches directly from the Bible, walking line by line through a single book of the Bible at a time. As we walk through the passages, he highlights themes, main ideas, and observations from the text (and of course, shares a few stories and illustrations along the way). We believe God reveals himself to us through the preaching and teaching of his Word, and we’re privileged to experience that every Sunday!
